2008 Cross Country Camps
Date: June 2nd - June 6th, 2008

Location: Eagle Park

Eligible Campers: Incoming 5th Graders to Incoming 9th Graders.

Time: 6:30pm to 8:00pm (Check-in 6:15pm)

Cost: $30.00 (includes T-Shirt , ½ price ticket to July’s 5k race at Eagle Park, and drinks)

Format:

Monday –Thursday
1.    Learn the fundamentals of good running form.
2.    Learn the proper way to warm-up and stretch.
3.    Participate in relay races of all types.
4.    Play some running games.
5.    Learn the proper way to warm-down and stretch.

Friday
1.    Race night. We will have 3 different races.
a.    800 meter Run (5th & 6th Graders)
b.    1600 Meter Run (6th & 7th Graders)
c.    3000 Meter Run (8th & 9th Graders)
2.    A runner can move up to the next
race group but no one can move down
to a lower level.

Awards:
Awards will be given to runners in the races.
**In order to guarantee a spot at the camp, registration must be made prior to May 30, 2008 DAY OF CAMP REGISTRATION WILL BE ALLOWED

**The camp will occur for all five days weather permitting**
